Son to be offered Tottenham exit route after contract termination

Son Heung-Min could be on his way out of Tottenham this summer.

Spurs have made some progress in the summer transfer window so far, mainly through the arrival of West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus, who made the switch in a £55million deal.

Tottenham have been pushing for Morgan Gibbs-White, while also lining up moves for several others ahead of the new campaign.

However, as important as incoming business will be, Spurs must also make some decisions on those currently residing in North London, including Son, whose future is up in the air.

LAFC ready to push to sign Son after Giroud contract termination

Son has been linked with an exit from Tottenham ever since the last campaign ended, though talks have failed to progress on most occasions.

However, a report from The Athletic (24 July) states that LAFC are “pushing hard” to bring the forward to MLS, where he would be reunited with former Spurs ‘keeper Hugo Lloris.

LAFC currently have two designated spots open for transfer after Olivier Giroud’s contract was terminated, with Rodrigo de Paul having already made the move.

It is claimed that the MLS outfit are hopeful of persuading Son to make the move in the coming weeks as talks continue between all parties.

Tottenham must be ready to part ways with Son

Son has been incredible for Tottenham ever since making the move from the Bundesliga, but his performances and level of importance to the team have certainly regressed.

With that said, the 33-year-old registered 23 goal contributions for Spurs last season, in a campaign that was, at large, one to forget.

His future will undoubtedly become clear in the next few weeks, though an exit from North London is looking like the most likely outcome, though the destination remains up in the air.
