Sky Sports share new Deadline Day transfer update on Mbeumo to Tottenham after Frank latest
Thomas Frank finally looks set to become the new Tottenham manager, and the prospect of the Dane bringing players with him is an exciting one.
Frank is ready to replace Ange Postecoglou and will inherit a squad which will compete in the Champions League next season as Europa League winners.
There is a clear need for reinforcements as Tottenham finished 17th in the Premier League, and several Brentford players could prove to be clear upgrades.
Bryan Mbeumo would be a superb addition if Frank convinces the Cameroon star to follow him across London, and a new update has emerged over this possibility.

Mbeumo to Spurs mooted amid Frank agreement
Mbeumo looks set to leave Brentford this summer as he has just one year left on his deal, and Tottenham have joined Manchester United in the race to sign him.
While it appears that Mbeumo prefers a move to United, Frank’s appointment at Spurs could perhaps change his mind.
Sky Sports reporter Mark McAdam has now claimed that this is a potential move to keep an eye on, after Frank agreed terms to join Tottenham on the first Deadline Day of the window (10 June, 07:38).
Player | Appearances | Goals | Assists | Minutes Played |
Bryan Mbuemo | 38 | 20 | 8 | 3,417′ |
“As we understand it, Thomas Frank, who is the number one choice to replace Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham – there are reports Frank might say to Spurs, ‘if I become manager, there’s a player I’d like to sign, it’s Bryan Mbeumo’,” he stated.
“Could that possibly happen? My gut feeling is it won’t, but it’s absolutely one to keep an eye on.”

Mbeumo would be a coup for Tottenham
Some fans are furious that Postecoglou was dismissed after winning the Europa League, but Frank can get himself off to the best possible start if his arrival means top-quality players want to join Spurs.
Mbeumo was a standout player in the Premier League this season, scoring 20 goals in 38 appearances, and at 25, he is an attacker who could continue to improve.
If Frank can entice Mbeumo to join, it would mean they beat Man United to a high profile transfer, while also adding a versatile winger who is proven in the league.
While a move may not materialise as things stand, Tottenham’s only chance of signing Mbeumo stems from Frank’s appointment, and it may justify Daniel Levy’s decision to sack Postecoglou if this move then materialises as a result.
