Ryan Mason seems set to leave Tottenham this summer amid talks for the vacant West Brom job.

The 33-year-old has been Ange Postecoglou’s assistant manager, but he looks set to dip his toes into management.

Although nothing has been confirmed, talks have progressed well, and an announcement is expected over the next few days.

Understandably, Mason will look to take talent with him, and one Spurs player has already been linked with a move to The Hawthorns.

Mason wants future West Brom reunion with Spurs winger

Mason is set to part ways with Tottenham after eight years as a coach, as he speaks with West Brom.

This would be Mason’s first managerial foray, but he held the position of caretaker manager on two occasions in North London.

Of course, the former Hull City man will want to take up-and-coming players with him to the West Midlands.

Mason would like to take Mikey Moore with him to The Hawthorns if possible, according to DOOD (31 May).

The former journalist and Baggies insider claims Moore is highly rated and that talks between Mason and the Baggies have gone well.

Moore is unlikely to feature much next season due to Tottenham acquiring Champions League football via the Europa League.

Tottenham should let Moore leave with Mason for West Brom

Given that the Lilywhites will strengthen in forward areas, opportunities for Mason will be sparse.

The teenager has shown flashes of brilliance and is one for the future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

However, he would grow in stature at a club like West Brom, who will be gunning for a play-off finish next season in the Championship.

Such a move would be boosted by the presence of Mason, as he would be able to get the best out of the 17-year-old.

Furthermore, the EFL has a superb record of building talent, with Mason Mount, Amad Diallo, and Reece James all prime examples.

Of course, Mason must agree to West Brom’s terms, but if he does, then expect Moore to follow.
