Richarlison sends personal message to supporters after latest Tottenham exit twist

Richarlison has sent a strong message following speculation surrounding his future.

The Tottenham striker has made 21 Premier League appearances under Thomas Frank this term, scoring seven times and registering three assists.

Richarlison’s future continues to remain a hot topic, though, with the Brazilian international failing to really get going throughout his time at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Brazilian journalist Bruno Andrade reported on Tuesday that Saudi Arabia is the preferred destination for the 28-year-old.

However, Richarlison has decided to call out Andrade in a now-deleted Instagram post, rubbishing the rumours of a move.

Richarlison sends strong message after Tottenham exit speculation

Richarlison signed for the club in 2022, joining from Everton after playing an integral role at Goodison Park following his initial move from Watford in 2018.

While never quite matching his form on Merseyside, the forward would become a key squad player under Ange Postecoglou, and now under Frank.

The report detailing his departure states that: “On one side, Tottenham accept the sale. On the other, Richarlison also accepts leaving, as long as around €25million is paid,” and that “right now, Saudi Arabia is clearly Richarlison’s priority.’

Taking to Instagram, the Spurs attacker took the opportunity to fire back at speculation.

“This guy has been spreading fake news for two years saying I’m leaving Tottenham,” said Richarlison.

“First you should check the facts before releasing them to the media. I tried sending message to ask him to stop, but he still continues.”

The post has now been deleted, though the message is clear that the Brazilian has no intention of leaving Spurs anytime soon.

Richarlison has always been reliable for Tottenham

While never the most prolific during his time in North London, Richarlison has always been a reliable option for Spurs.

With immense work rate and application, the Brazilian has proven himself dependable for multiple managers.

Alongside this, his recent outburst does offer Spurs fans something to hold onto, in the fact that his mind is clearly on the club.

With Spurs going through a rough ride as of late, they need players who are willing to fight for both the badge and the supporters, and Richarlison certainly does that.

It may not have been the move he envisaged when he left Everton, but Richarlison has been reliable throughout his time in a Tottenham shirt, and that can’t be forgotten.
