Monaco make offer to sign exit-bound Tottenham star

Tottenham Hotspur are expected to be active in the transfer window following a disastrous Premier League campaign.

Spurs recorded their worst-ever Premier League finish in 2024/25, finishing 17th with just 38 points and 22 losses.

Ange Postecoglou’s side did manage to rescue their season by winning the Europa League to secure Champions League football for next season.

However, with continued murmurs over the Australian’s future as the Tottenham boss, a major overhaul is expected in North London.

Monaco make Sergio Reguilon contract offer following Tottenham exit

One player that will be departing Spurs this summer is Sergio Reguilon.

Tottenham will release the left-back on 30 June after five seasons in North London, registering just four league appearances this season.

French journalist Santi Aouna has reported that AS Monaco have made a formal offer to the 28-year-old for his services.

Reguilon was a mainstay in his first season after arriving from Sevilla in 2020, but quickly fell out of favour after the departure of Jose Mourinho.

The Real Madrid academy graduate was loaned out to Atletico Madrid and Manchester United during his time in England, but failed to regain his form from 2020/21.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Reguilon is assessing his options on the transfer market.

Tottenham’s summer clear-out has begun

Reguilon is not the only confirmed departure, with goalkeepers Alfie Whiteman and Fraser Forster also leaving following the conclusion of their contracts.

Timo Werner will also leave Spurs after his loan spell, with the ex-Chelsea man flattering to deceive at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Mathys Tel could also return to Bayern Munich from his loan spell, with Tottenham heavily interested in former Manchester City winger Leroy Sane.

It has been reported that Spurs have pulled ahead of North London rivals Arsenal in the race for Sane, who is set to become a free agent this summer.

Cristian Romero is also linked with a departure from North London, with Atletico Madrid interested and the Argentine open to a move to La Liga.

Regarding incomings alongside Sane, Spurs are linked with many big names, including Rayan Cherki, Jack Grealish and Tyler Dibling.
