Mikey Moore sends message as Tottenham finalise upsetting exit
Mikey Moore has emerged as one of the best young talents in English football after a breakthrough season at Tottenham.
Moore, 17, made 19 appearances across all competitions for Spurs this term, with Ange Postecoglou using the England Under-19 international largely in both the Premier League and Europa League.
The London-born teenager, who will turn 18 two days before Tottenham take on Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup on 13 August, also got his first goal in senior football this season when he netted against Elfsborg in the final Europa League group stage match in January.
Moore played five times in the league stage of this season’s Europa League, with Spurs winning all five of those games. In the three games he missed, Postecoglou’s side picked up just two points.

Moore shares three-word comment as Tottenham exit confirmed
Tottenham look like they’re going to undergo a big change this summer, with a number of exits already announced.
Fraser Forster, Alfie Whiteman and Sergio Reguilon are all set to leave the North London club at the end of June when their contracts expire, while Timo Werner has been sent back to RB Leipzig following unsuccessful – and unnecessary – second loan spell at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Appearances | Goals | Assists | |
Premier League | 10 | 0 | 1 |
Europa League | 5 | 1 | 1 |
FA Cup | 2 | 0 | 0 |
Carabao Cup | 2 | 0 | 0 |
Max Robson is also leaving Spurs after 15 years at the club.
Robson, 22, has been an ever-present for the Under-21s in recent years. However, he’ll be seeking a new club this summer after playing alongside Moore in Premier League 2.
After he said goodbye on Instagram, Moore took to the comments to send his best wishes to the exit-bound midfielder.
“Good luck, brother,” said the promising Spurs and England Under-19s forward.
Ashley Phillips also said “all the best, bro” to Robson while Tyrese Hall said: “Gonna miss you.”
Will Lankshear, Josh Keeley, Alfie Dorrington and Oliver Irow were clearly left upset by the news of Robson’s exit as they posted sad, crying faces.
How much is Mikey Moore worth?
Moore is a young English forward, who can play on either wing, as a No 10 or in a striker role.
As he’s English, plays for one of the big-six Premier League clubs and has a decent amount of senior experience before his 18th birthday, Moore is certainly a valuable asset.
According to transfermarkt, Moore’s value rose to £15.1million at the end of May.
However, there’s no doubt that if anyone were to make a move for the London-born sensation, they’d have to pay Tottenham a lot more than that to convince them into a sale.
