Marcus Rashford to Tottenham: Transfer reveal today after ‘Bombshell’ news

Tottenham have entered the race to sign Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United during the ongoing transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.

However, the newspaper reported via their website on 8 January that any deal would depend on how much of Rashford’s £325,000-a-week salary the Red Devils are willing to pay and if there will be an obligation to buy.

The England international is being linked with a move away from Old Trafford after he admitted that he is ready for a new challenge in a “bombshell” interview last month.

Spurs, though, face competition from AC Milan, who welcomed the attacker’s brother and agent Dwaine Maynard to Italy on Tuesday (7 January), as well as Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Galatasaray.

Tottenham want to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United

It is evident that Tottenham want to strengthen their options in attack this month, with Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani already of interest.

The North London giants are actively pursuing a deal to sign the France international on loan from the Ligue 1 giants, according to David Ornstein.

However, Manchester United are also in the mix to acquire Kolo Muani’s services amid Rashford’s uncertain future at Old Trafford.

Therefore, it would make sense for Spurs to turn their attention towards Rashford, who might prefer staying in England if he leaves United.

Ange Postecoglou is seemingly keen to add a versatile forward to his ranks, with Timo Werner failing to impress during his second loan stint at the club.

The RB Leipzig loanee has scored just once in 24 games across all competitions this season and Tottenham are now unlikely to make his move permanent.

Bringing in a player like Rashford would allow Postecoglou to take some pressure of Dominic Solanke and Son Heung-min.

However, with the 27-year-old’s brother already holding talks with Milan, it remains to be seen if Daniel Levy can strike a deal to take him to North London.
