Marcus Rashford accepts Man United exit with Tottenham ready for wage payout

Tottenham are eyeing up several attackers in the transfer market, and Manchester United outcast Marcus Rashford could be on their agenda.

Spurs are in talks with West Ham over a deal for Mohammed Kudus, and have already had a bid rejected for the Ghanaian.

However, Tottenham could look to sign another Premier League-proven option in Rashford, who will leave Man United after a fallout with Ruben Amorim.

Rashford will not return to Aston Villa following his loan there, and this could open the door for Thomas Frank to sign the England international.

Tottenham can afford Rashford’s wages amid Man United update

Rashford has been linked with several clubs, including Barcelona, with a move abroad likely, but should he remain in England, Tottenham may be one of his best options.

The 27-year-old is on a high wage at United, which could put off a lot of clubs despite his reported £40 million asking price being reasonably affordable.

Dan Plumley has exclusively told Tottenham News that Rashford’s wages, estimated to be around £300,000 per week, would not be a problem if Spurs were to sign him this summer.

Fabrizio Romano has now reported that Rashford has accepted the fact that he will be forced to leave Man United, and further talks will take place over his exit in the coming weeks.

Rashford could be perfect for Tottenham

With Son Heung-Min’s future unclear, Rashford could be the ideal replacement, and he would certainly add a lot of quality to the front line.

Frank got the best out of speedy attackers such as Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa at Brentford, and he could be the ideal coach to revive Rashford’s career.

The attacker could replace Son on the left wing, or even start through the middle as a central striker, and would be the most accomplished attacker at the club if he did join.

While his wages would be hefty, the potential departure of Son could offset this, and Spurs could land a proven goalscorer to help them in the Champions League next season.
