‘Man United ready to seal Rashford agreement with Tottenham’
Tottenham look to have received a major boost in their hunt to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United.
Rashford, 27, is free to leave Old Trafford in the summer transfer window and Spurs are widely reported to be interested in signing the 62-cap England international.
However, the forward’s contract, which doesn’t expire until 2028, sees him earn a whopping £300,000-a-week, which isn’t money that Daniel Levy will be willing to pay.

Man United prepared to pay percentage of Rashford wages at Tottenham
It’s now being reported that Man United are ready to do a deal with Tottenham that would see the Old Trafford club subsidise Rashford’s wages.
The Telegraph reported on 28 June that the Red Devils are set to pay a portion of Rashford’s wages should he leave the Europa League runners-up.

Tottenham are keen on signing a new winger this summer but Rashford’s preference seems to be a move to Barcelona.
Former Spurs scout Bryan King told Tottenham News earlier this month that Rashford would have to accept a pay cut if he was to head to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.
However, if Man United were to allow him to leave on loan and pay a percentage of his wages, it means that Spurs could get him for a fraction of what he’s being paid at Old Trafford.

What is Man United’s PSR position?
Man United currently have no concerns about breaching Profit & Sustainability Rules for the current period, which ends on Monday (30 June).
Some clubs – including Rashford’s former temporary home Aston Villa – are under pressure to sell players to balance the books before that deadline.
However, it’s been reported by the MEN that’s not the case for Man United.
It could be a different story next year, though, due to their failure to qualify for Europe next season, thanks to Tottenham beating them in the Europa League final in Bilbao last month.
Spurs will be a Champions League club in 2025/26 despite finishing just one place above the Premier League relegation zone last season under Ange Postecoglou.
Tottenham’s PSR situation is one of no concern due to the way Levy has controlled the club’s finances in his time as chairman.
