Tottenham ‘in position to pounce’ as Lukas Ullrich transfer admission made
Tottenham are in the market for more new arrivals this summer.
With a deal for Mohammed Kudus now pending, it seems as though Tottenham are preparing to accelerate their summer transfer plans in a bid to achieve progression next season.
Quite frankly, that is needed after finishing 17th in the Premier League, with Thomas Frank in need of backing if he is to have any chance at success in North London.
With that in mind, it seems as though Spurs are looking to bolster their defensive options ahead of the new campaign, with a new update from Germany.

Monchengladbach have to sell this summer
Selling seems to be a key decision for many clubs around Europe this summer, and it is no different for Monchengladbach, who could be forced to part ways with Lukas Ullrich.
The 21-year-old defender has impressed in Germany and has attracted interest from Tottenham and Valencia, according to BILD (9 July).
Monchengladbach | Games | Goals | Assists |
Ullrich | 26 | 1 | 2 |
It has been a breakthrough campaign for the left-back, but Monchengladbach’s finance director recently admitted that they are “dependent on transfer revenues” to be able to secure arrivals of their own.
With that in mind, Spurs could look to pounce for the highly-rated talent, who would provide sufficient depth and competition for Destiny Udogie.

Tottenham set for a busy July
A deal for Yoane Wissa could also be on the cards this month, after it was claimed that Tottenham have held talks with the Brentford forward.
Adding Ullrich to that, Spurs could make over three new additions to their squad this month, though that is still not likely enough for what they want to achieve next season.
Depth in all areas will be a must, and with several potentially leaving, replacements will also be needed.
