McClean reacts as Josh Keeley agrees Luton Town move
Josh Keeley was one of several Tottenham youngsters who caught the eye during a loan stint last season.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper spent the campaign in League One with Leyton Orient, where he quickly established himself as one of the O’s most important players.
Keeley kept 16 clean sheets from just 36 league appearances, a tally which was bettered by just three other third tier ‘keepers.
He also produced heroics in his side’s penalty shootout victory over Stockport County in the play-off semi-final, and has understandably been something of a hot property this summer.
Keeley has now agreed a deal to join Luton Town, after talks over a new contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium broke down.
The youngster issued an emotional goodbye message to Tottenham on his Instagram account, which drew a reaction from McClean.
Keeley’s fellow countryman liked his post, effectively offering his seal of approval for the move.

Keeley’s exit is bad news for Tottenham
Keeley’s exit will be a source of much frustration for Tottenham, given that he has been hotly tipped to be a potential first-team option in the future.
He was one of several youngsters who impressed out on loan last term, and it will be hugely frustrating for Spurs to have lost him having failed to agree on fresh terms.
The Lilywhites have a reputation as having one of the country’s most illustrious academies, and the likes of Mikey Moore have provided a recent reminder of the pathway that is there for the club’s starlets.
However, losing young players like Keeley, who could potentially have been a future number one, can never be a good thing.
With the youngster now back in League One again next year, Spurs will be left to watch on from afar as Keeley’s development continues.
