James Maddison spotted with Jamie Vardy as transfer speculation hots up
James Maddison did not have a great campaign at Tottenham last season.
Once again, the 28-year-old struggled with injuries as he spent a decent chunk of the year on the sidelines.
As a result, Maddison was absent from the Europa League final in which was no doubt a personal blow for the attacking midfielder.
Speculation has recently grown that Maddison could even be sold this summer to make room for potential new signings.
However, the England international isn’t the only one who may be looking for a club this summer, with Jamie Vardy also on the hunt.
Jamie Vardy linked with Rangers
It is no secret that Vardy and Maddison are both good friends.
The duo played with each other for years at Leicester City, where the pair won the FA Cup and the Community Shield with the Foxes.
Vardy announced his departure from Leicester a few months back, with Maddison showing his support for the striker via Instagram.

As the former England international looks for a new club, Football Insider (30 June) believes that the 38-year-old could be off to Rangers this summer.
Now, Maddison has shared an image of the pair together on his Instagram (1 July) as the speculation regarding his future continues.
Vardy wouldn’t be a terrible option at Tottenham
If Tottenham struggle to find a good back-up striker this summer, Vardy would not be a bad option to consider.
The 38-year-old proved last season that he was still capable of finding the net in the Premier League, despite playing for one of the worst top-flight teams in recent history.
Therefore, on a free transfer, the striker may be worth a gamble as Thomas Frank attempts to balance the Premier League and Champions League campaigns, as well as the domestic cups.
On top of this, his relationship with Maddison may make the transition easier and help him adapt to the Dane’s style of play quicker.
