Jack Grealish axed by Man City as Tottenham line up ‘record-breaking move’
Tottenham could be set for a summer of significant change following a dismal Premier League campaign.
Their Europa League triumph has helped to gloss over their awful domestic showing to some extent, but it may not be enough to save Ange Postecoglou’s job, with a decision on his future expected imminently.
The futures of several key players are also currently uncertain, not least club captain Son Heung-min, who seems set for a move to Saudi Arabia.
Spurs have plenty of work ahead of them this summer if they are to turn things around, and Daniel Levy and Co. are prepared to splash out on a big-money target ahead of next season to help change their fortunes.

City have cut Grealish from their plans
Tottenham are believed to have Jack Grealish on their radar heading into this summer, and Man City’s latest decision has left the door open for Spurs to pursue a deal.
The England international would reportedly become the Lilywhites’ record signing [GiveMeSport] if they were to secure his signature.
Their chase of the 29-year-old has now been handed a massive boost, with Grealish expected to be left out of City’s squad for the upcoming Club World Cup, according to Sky Sports (4 June).
He has fallen out of favour with Pep Guardiola, who is believed to be trying to work out a solution for the former Aston Villa man before the next campaign gets underway.
City have to submit a 35-man squad ahead of their trip to the USA to take on the best sides from across the globe, and with Grealish set to miss the cut, there is surely no way back for him at the Etihad Stadium.

Grealish could be a good signing for Spurs
A move for Grealish this summer could be worth the gamble for Spurs, regardless of his current plight in Manchester.
The attacker hasn’t come close to matching the impact that was expected of him when he made the switch from Aston Villa back in 2021, but the North London outfit should back themselves to re-vitalise his career at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Grealish has made just 40 Premier League appearances across the last two seasons under Guardiola and his career has badly stagnated as a result. However, if he were to move away from the Citizens, he would surely have a huge point to prove.

The Birmingham-born star was once one of England’s most exciting talents, and he will surely have a desire to show the world that he is still capable of being a crucial player at the top level.
He has always performed better in sides which are built around him, something which was evidenced perfectly by his time at Villa, when he was effectively allowed free rein to get on the ball and infleunce games.
If Spurs could create a similar environment for him in their team next season, it could be the key to unlocking the player that Grealish once was.
His sizeable pricetag would add an element of jeopardy to any potential move, but if Tottenham could get Grealish firing, then he could be a devastatingly good addition.
