Gibbs-White nowhere to be seen as Nottingham Forest footage emerges from Portugal
Tottenham’s ongoing battle to sign Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest has now taken another turn.
Spurs thought they had agreed a deal to sign the England international after activating a £60million release clause, but Forest threatened legal action over what they considered to be an unlawful approach.
Tottenham are still in pursuit of the midfielder, who has been training with the Forest squad while the saga has continued.
However, with Forest travelling to Portugal for a pre-season tour, there is a notable omission as Gibbs-White is not with the rest of his teammates.

Gibbs-White absent from Forest pre-season trip
Forest are preparing their team for the upcoming Premier League campaign, but there is now a clear indication that Gibbs-White does not feature in their plans for the season.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will face Fulham and Estoril Praia in the Algarve as part of their preparations, but it now seems that Gibbs-White will not play a part.
In footage shared to X by Alfie Reynolds (21 July), the Forest squad can be seen arriving at Faro airport for their trip, but Gibbs-White is not part of the travelling pack and has not been spotted with the rest of his teammates.
While this does not rule out the 25-year-old joining his teammates later on or travelling separately, it is notable that he is not with the squad despite training with them, and this could point towards an exit being on the cards.
Tottenham need to resolve Gibbs-White situation quickly
Gibbs-White has also been coveted by Manchester City in the past, and the longer this situation goes on, the more uncertain his move to Tottenham will become.
Spurs are willing to break the bank to sign the Forest captain, having just completed a deal for West Ham star Mohammed Kudus, and they are clearly showing ambition to add ready-made players to the team.
The former Wolves star has been outstanding under Espirito Santo, and he can play in a variety of positions, making him a potentially vital addition for Thomas Frank if a deal ends up going through.
