Daniel Levy told final answer by Man City as he makes £50m Tottenham approach for Savinho
Tottenham have been pushing to sign Manchester City star Savinho.
Savinho had an impressive breakthrough season with the Citizens after joining from their sister club Troyes last summer.
The Brazilian has caught the eye of plenty of clubs, though Spurs are the only side to have made an official move so far, it seems.
Daniel Levy has made his move to get the deal over the line, but it certainly won’t be quick or easy.

Daniel Levy told to ‘forget’ about signing Savinho
Tottenham are in the hunt for a new left winger after Son Heung-Min’s departure was recently announced.
The Lilywhites have been linked with plenty of big names this summer, after missing out on the signing of Morgan Gibbs-White.
There had been some hope that they would finally land an alternative in Savinho, but that hope now seems to be fading.
- Tottenham had reportedly enquired about a move for both Savinho and Jack Grealish
- Frank’s side have made a £40million bid for Savinho
- Spurs could move on and sign Eberechi Eze instead
The Daily Mirror has reported in its print edition (12 August, pg 59) that Man City have told Tottenham to forget about signing the Brazilian.
Levy had made enquiries to complete a £50million deal for Savinho, but that is nowhere near his valuation, and the winger isn’t actually for sale.
He remains in Pep Guardiola’s plans, too.

Tottenham to move for Eberechi Eze as Savinho alternative
Tottenham have reportedly stepped up their interest in Eberechi Eze after being linked with the 27-year-old earlier in the window.
The winger has been performing for years at Premier League level and offers a healthy alternative to Savinho.
Player | Games | Goals | Assists |
Savinho | 48 | 3 | 13 |
Eze | 34 | 8 | 8 |
At a potential £80million, he would be more costly than the Brazilian, but would offer more output.
Eze has experience, speed, and the ability to turn something out of nothing, while signing Savinho would be more risky, given that he has had just one good season in the top flight.
Eze has become known for his fine dribbling in blue and red and can transition his skills over to North London quickly.
Levy is ready to open his chequebook again, and it is desperately needed.
