Daniel Levy ‘has three days to avoid wrath of Thomas Frank’ as £68m update drops
Daniel Levy is running out of time to secure Thomas Frank a second major arrival at Tottenham this summer.
Spurs have made significantly less progress this summer than was perhaps expected, with the signing of Mohammed Kudus the only arrival that has raised the ceiling of the squad.
A deal for Morgan Gibbs-White fell through, with the Englishman then going on to sign a new contract at Nottingham Forest, forcing Tottenham to look elsewhere.
With a new target identified, Levy is running out of time to make the necessary decision in North London, and Frank will be less than impressed if he fails to deliver.

Ebere Eze has a £68million release clause at Palace
After failing to land Gibbs-White, Tottenham have turned their attention to Crystal Palace maestro Ebere Eze to bolster the level of creativity in the squad.
Negotiations have been ongoing, and as per The Independent (12 August), Eze’s £68million release clause will expire this Friday.
Eze’s record at Palace
- 168 appearances
- 40 goals
- 29 assists
That gives Levy just three days to finalise a deal for that relatively cheap price, with Arsenal also hot on the tail of the English international midfielder.
Spurs have also been linked with Leicester’s Bilal El Khannouss, but they are likely to only move for the Moroccan if they fail in their attempts to bring Eze to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Levy cannot let another target slip through their net
It’s fair to say that Spurs fans are not overly fond of Levy, and much of that is down to his inability to close transfer deals.
Tottenham have already missed out on many targets this summer, and he simply cannot allow the same to happen with Eze, especially with Arsenal in the running.
Eze‘s future is likely to become clear in the next few days, with an exit from Palace looking increasingly likely.
Bringing Eze to Spurs would make this a wonderful transfer window, but miss out again and Frank will have every right to be annoyed.
