Dani Olmo agent shares Barcelona update after Tottenham transfer news
Tottenham target Dani Olmo’s agent has confirmed that his client will not leave Barcelona in January.
Spurs had been linked with a move for the Euro 2024 winner by Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo (1 January) after the Catalan giants failed to register the former RB Leipzig star.
Ange Postecoglou is desperate for a creative spark as his side have won just two of their last 10 matches in all competitions.
However, in an interview with Fabrizio Romano (3 January), the player’s agent claimed that the Spaniard does not intend to leave the Nou Camp anytime soon, saying: “I can confirm our position has not changed. We are not negotiating with any club.
“Dani is Barca player and he wants to be a Barca player, he did big efforts in his life to be at Barcelona. It was his desire for long time”.
Tottenham need to move on to other targets
The Spanish international would have been a brilliant addition for Postecoglou’s side but any deal now looks dead in the water after his agent’s claims.
The Lilywhites need to move onto other targets immediately as a move for Olmo is not going to happen now with the player wanting to stay in Spain.
James Maddison has impressed this season scoring eight goals and notching four assists in 19 Premier League matches but Postecoglou seems reluctant to trust him.

The England international has not completed 90 minutes in any of his league appearances so far this campaign.
That suggests that the Lilywhites manager will try to bring in another option this month, to compete with the Englishman and give his squad a new edge going forward.
The Australian has to do something to save his job in North London as he is under severe pressure to improve results sooner rather than later.
In other Tottenham news, Ange Postecoglou desperately needs one transfer to avoid the sack.
