Bryan Gil offered Tottenham exit route as Bayern Munich play hard-ball
Bryan Gil has one year left on his contract at Tottenham and could leave this summer.
Tottenham have plenty of work still to be done this summer in terms of their own recruitment, though plenty of focus will also need to be placed on the futures of those currently residing in North London.
Yves Bissouma could leave, as could Cristian Romero, though shifting the deadwood will be the priority for Thomas Frank.
Gil fits that bill, having spent last season on loan at Girona, with it looking as though he has no future at Spurs beyond this summer.

Tottenham offer Gil to Celta Vigo
Back in 2021, Spurs paid around £21million to sign Gil, which at the time seemed like it could turn out to be a good deal given the potential he showcased.
However, just 43 appearances later, his exit could be on the cards permanently, according to a report in the print edition of Mundo Deportivo (15 July, pg. 20), stating that he has now been offered to Celta Vigo.
Tottenham | Games | Goals | Assists |
Gil | 43 | 0 | 1 |
The La Liga club have been chasing the signing of Bryan Zaragoza, but are struggling to negotiate with Bayern, which could lead them to Tottenham’s Gil.
As for the fee, it’s highly unlikely that Tottenham would recoup even half of what they paid for Gil, though getting him off the books and providing a small cash injection will be just as important.

Frank needs to see more arrivals
Mohammed Kudus’ arrival was a big one, and that is the calibre of signing Tottenham need to make many more of between now and the start of the season.
If they are to compete in the UEFA Champions League, while also showing significant improvement in the Premier League, depth will be needed, and it will need to be quality.
The transfer window is still open for some time yet, and Spurs simply must take advantage where they can.
