Ademola Lookman offer made for late Tottenham move as Thomas Frank seeks another attacker deal

Tottenham have just received a huge boost in their pursuit of Ademola Lookman on transfer deadline day.

The winger has been electric for Atalanta over the last few seasons, and his tally of 20 league goal contributions was bettered by just three players in Serie A last term.

Lookman has been linked with a Spurs switch in the last few days, as the Lilywhites look to add to their attacking options before the imminent cut-off.

They have already made seven additions to Thomas Frank’s squad so far this summer, but last-minute deals are still desired in N17.

Atalanta offer Ademola Lookman to Tottenham

Spurs’ late interest in Lookman could see them secure another statement signing in the final third in just a matter of days.

Xavi Simons’ arrival is hugely exciting for the North Londoners, and Lookman could now be about to follow the Dutchman through the door.

Atalanta have offered Spurs the chance to sign the winger, after they rejected a loan-to-buy proposal from Bayern Munich, according to The Times.

The Italian side will only entertain a permanent sale for the 27-year-old, and valued him in the region of £43million when they were dealing with an approach from AC Milan earlier in the summer.

Tottenham want to add a second attacking addition, despite their recent move for Simons.

The former Everton wideman notched 20 goals and seven assists in all competitions last term, and could now be about to join the Lilywhites ahead of the deadline.

Ademola Lookman deserves a Premier League second chance

Lookman would be an exciting signing for Spurs, and he is now completely different to the player who struggled in the Premier League earlier in his career.

The Nigeria international found consistency hard to come by during his stints with Everton, Fulham and Leicester, but has taken his game to the next level during his time in Italy.

The wideman has notched in excess of 20 goal involvements in all contributions in each of his three seasons with Atalanta, and is certainly deserving of another shot in the Premier League.

Lookman is pacy and creative, and is now at the level where he could come in and have a real impact for Frank and his team.
