Tottenham have instant Randal Kolo Muani upgrade after new Savinho transfer update
Tottenham Hotspur are already working hard to forget last season, with negotiations over Savinho already progressing in North London.
This comes via Fabrizio Romano, who revealed the interest in recent weeks.
Spurs chased the Brazilian’s signature for what felt like the entirety of last summer, before Manchester City decided to keep hold of the winger.
This comes at a time when the Lilywhites are aiming to get business done early, as they prepare for the first full season under Roberto De Zerbi.
The Savinho chase comes at the right time, with Tottenham already set to lose one of the attackers who saw the dismal season out in North London, and there is a clear upgrade on the way.

Randal Kolo Muani accepts unfortunate role in dismal Tottenham campaign
Making the move on loan from Paris Saint-Germain at the back end of last summer’s window, Randal Kolo Muani was looking to rebuild his form after a hit-and-miss spell with the Parisians.
He did enjoy six months under Igor Tudor at Juventus, though a deal between the Bianconeri and PSG would prove difficult.

A year later, the Frenchman looks to be on his way out of PSG permanently following the expiration of his loan in North London.
On Sunday, Romano reported that Juventus have made a fresh approach, after deals collapsed in both August and January, with Kolo Muani open to the switch.
Scoring 10 times and registering three assists in 22 appearances for the Old Lady, the forward remains highly thought of in Turin, with his spell in Northern Italy being the best since his 2023 move away from Eintracht Frankfurt, where he scored 26 and laid on 17 assists in the 2022-23 term.

Scoring just once in the Premier League, Kolo Muani struggled in a severely underwhelming Spurs side.
He cannot take all of the blame for this, though, after playing out on the right-hand side for the entirety of De Zerbi’s run to the end of the season.
He did feature 18 times as a striker before then, though this would be during the dismal reigns of Thomas Frank and Igor Tudor, while he was pushed out wide when the more attacking manager came in.
The fact of the matter is that Kolo Muani is not a winger, and struggled to create in the wide areas, severely limiting Tottenham in the sort of football that they could play under De Zerbi, who had to start from scratch with his style.
Is Savinho enough of an upgrade as Spurs close in on transfer?
As of now, it is difficult to judge how much of an upgrade Savinho will provide out wide because De Zerbi has been on a hiding to nothing in recent months, with Mathys Tel and Kolo Muani having to operate on the flanks through injuries.
Manchester City man Savinho is a winger by trade, and someone with the skillset more naturally suited to taking on defenders and causing problems from the flanks.
However, his game has not exactly been fine-tuned.

His end product is there, though he has let himself down too often in the decision-making department.
In part, this has been the reason why Pep Guardiola has not offered too many chances from the off.
Blessed with fantastic pace, Savinho will provide more of an orthodox threat out wide, though he is far from the finished article – something De Zerbi will have to bear in mind as he prepares his side for the coming term.
