Luka Vuskovic decision is best for all parties after latest Tottenham exit update
Luka Vuskovic looks set to rejoin Bundesliga outfit Hamburg SV on loan over the summer.
Following his permanent Tottenham Hotspur arrival last summer, the Croatian defender made a temporary switch to northern Germany, where he has been sensational.
Since then, his spell in the Hanseatic city could hardly have gone any better for all parties.
Becoming a talismanic figure for the Red Shorts, Vuskovic emerged as a leader in Merlin Polzin’s side as they secured survival following their promotion to the Bundesliga.
And now, he could be set for another season at the Volksparkstadion, in a move that could be the best option for all involved once again.

Luka Vuskovic could be set to rejoin Hamburg after stellar season
An unbelievable presence in the backline, Vuskovic has proven crucial to Hamburg’s survival push.
Astonishingly, the 19-year-old finished the season as Hamburg’s second-highest scorer, with six goals to his name.
| Stat | Luka Vuskovic |
| Appearances | 28 |
| Ground duels won | 67.6% |
| Aerial duels won | 74.5% |
| Interceptions | 40 |
| Blocks | 26 |
| Recoveries | 126 |
Now, as per fresh reports from The Independent, the defender is expected to sign a new deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before joining Hamburg on loan again.
With brother Mario Vuskovic currently serving a doping ban, he is set to return to action later this year for Hamburg.
Spurs youngster Luka has continued to echo his desire to play alongside his brother, with the connection to the Vuskovic family being a huge reason behind the instant rapport between him and the fans following his arrival at the end of last summer’s transfer window.
After avoiding relegation, the German giants are looking to climb the standings further in the coming term – Vuskovic rejoining would give them a huge chance of doing so, while his own game continues to develop.
Luka Vuskovic can come back an even better player than envisaged
In the Bundesliga this season, the young defender has continued to learn his trade in one of Europe’s best leagues, in a side battling against the drop for large periods.
With 2,070 touches, 88 accurate long balls, 1,274 successful passes and 11 chances created, Vuskovic almost plays the role of a midfielder at centre-back, while his aerial dominance has seen him win 74.5 per cent of his duels in the air, and he has made 339 defensive contributions in the Bundesliga.
Though there are still slight holes in his game that will only be ironed out through more game time, with Bundesliga expert Rune Gjerulff previously discussing these with Tottenham News.

While there are no qualms as to whether he is capable of making the step to the Premier League this summer, more time at Hamburg will only benefit him.
Adored by the fanbase, he has been given time to develop, and with him yet to play infront of the Spurs fanbase, there is no guarantee that he won’t come under fire should he not instantly impress.
HSV are a giant of German football, and are hardly a club without ambitions. After surviving this term, the level of expectation rises, thereby raising the standards expected of Vuskovic.
With more chances to develop and the chance to solidify his status as one of the most highly rated defenders in Europe, Vuskovic could return to Tottenham as an already established star, rather than the unpolished diamond he currently is.
