Andy Robertson is a ‘real leader’ who’ll ‘raise the levels’ at Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur have reached a verbal agreement to sign Liverpool star Andy Robertson.
The Scotland captain is set to join the Lilywhites on a free transfer when the summer window opens.
The two-time Premier League winner is expected to respect his deal with Spurs, despite Juventus trying to hijack it, according to Fabrizio Romano on 27 May.
He claims that Roberto De Zerbi wanted to bring in the Reds star, who was also linked with the North London side in the winter window.
Tottenham need experience and Robertson has plenty at the top level, so it should be a good match.

Why Robertson is a great signing for Tottenham
As Wenham states, the Scotsman will raise the levels at Hotspur Way, given his nine years with the Anfield side, where he won the league twice and the Champions League.
While his abilities are not what they once were, which has seen him lose his place in Arne Slot’s side to Milos Kerkez, he still provides leadership and experience to the dressing room.
He has made 332 appearances in the English top-flight and played 66 times in the Champions League, which will surely provide the Lilywhites with a reliable figure on the pitch and off it.

That will be very valuable for De Zerbi, given that his side have just narrowly escaped relegation, by a margin of just two points.
Robertson will demand more from his new teammates, and bring the best out of them, and hopefully, he can bring some of his trophy-winning exploits to N17 from the Merseysiders.
It is a clever move from the 2025 Europa League winners, and they will hope that it can propel them back into the fight for European places, rather than another relegation scrap.
While it is a promising start to the window, they need much more, if that is to happen.
