Tottenham told unthinkable Wolves surprise possible amid attitude problem from the past
Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to face Wolves in their next Premier League outing.
The relegation battle rolls on at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Roberto De Zerbi goes in search of his first win in charge.
He didn’t pick up three points against Sunderland or Brighton, so attention has turned to an already relegated Old Gold side.
Rob Edwards’ side may have their Championship status confirmed already, but they will be keen to drag the Lilywhites down with them.
Tottenham must be ready to face Wolves, otherwise they risk a repeat of last season’s trip to Molineux, which simply can’t happen.

Tottenham can’t risk 2024 repeat vs Wolves at Molineux
Spurs haven’t been good for a long time, and that stretches back 12 months to their last outing in the Black Country.
Vitor Pereira was in charge at the time and managed to transform the fortunes of the West Midlands, which included victory over the North London outfit.
| Stat | Wolves | Tottenham |
| Possession (%) | 37 | 63 |
| Expected goals | 2.44 | 1.89 |
| Shots | 13 | 11 |
| Total passes | 346 | 566 |
| Total tackles | 21 | 14 |
A 4-2 win at Molineux moved the Old Gold a step closer to Premier League safety, while also piling pressure on Ange Postecoglou.
They can do the same thing to De Zerbi this time around, even if they have already had their fate confirmed with five games to go.
Former scout Bryan King believes there was an attitude problem on show within the Spurs squad in last season’s meeting, something that can’t be repeated this time around.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, King said: “Tottenham will be happy about playing Wolves next, but they could get a surprise there.
“If they aren’t up for it, Wolves will kick them. It won’t be easy.
“If Tottenham turn up with an attitude like they did last season at Wolves, they will get beaten.
“They aren’t going to win games because they’re Tottenham; their players need to start putting the work in.
“If they don’t win there, they deserve to go down.”
Tottenham must turn up against Wolves as they would seriously risk the threat of relegation moving into the final weeks of the campaign.
Tottenham can’t lose vs Wolves
There is one simple message that De Zerbi has to give his players at Molineux: Don’t lose.
The Old Gold have been one of the worst Premier League teams in history this season and have nothing left to play for.
They are currently coming off the back of 3-0 and 4-0 defeats against Leeds United and West Ham, respectively, in their last two outings.

Should the Lilywhites fall to defeat against them on Saturday, it would simply knock any little bit of stuffing remaining in the N17 faithful.
Tottenham can not lose against Wolves; it is as simple as that.
