Tottenham Hotspur take on Leeds United in N17 on Monday night, and Spurs have historically had the Whites’ number in the Premier League.

Shockingly, there is a feel-good factor around Tottenham at the moment: something that many fans didn’t think would be possible as recently as weeks ago.

Indeed, the arrival of Roberto De Zerbi as the Lilywhites’ knight in shining armour has been the catalyst for a late-season turnaround, with the team now unbeaten in their last three games.

Spurs have plundered the Midlands with back-to-back wins over Wolves and Aston Villa respectively, moving them out of the bottom three and into 17th, one place and point above West Ham.

It doesn’t stop there either, as in the 24 years since the two met on 1 April 2002, Tottenham have only lost once against the Whites in the top flight.

That lone Leeds win in that time period came during the Covid-affected season in May 2021, where they triumphed 3-1 at an empty Elland Road.

Overall, since that aforementioned win in April 2002, the two sides have contested 12 Premier League matches, with Tottenham winning 10, drawing one and losing one respectively.

There aren’t many tougher places to go in the Premier League as an opposition side than Elland Road, with Leeds supporters making their historic home one of the most hostile and atmospheric venues in the land.

However, when they don’t have their home support to lean on, how good have Farke’s side been on their travels in the Premier League this term?

Well, they’ve struggled to say the least, winning just two of their 17 away games in 2025-26, drawing eight and losing seven respectively.

They’re posting a goal difference of minus 12, with 19 goals scored and 31 conceded culminating in a points total on their travels of just 14.

So, both the history and Leeds away form books point heavily in Tottenham’s favour of a win on Monday night, and if so, that would push Spurs to the brink of Premier League safety.
