Tottenham fans up in arms after ‘insane’ Bukayo Saka scenes in Champions League final
Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken issue with developments involving Bukayo Saka in Arsenal’s Champions League final loss against Paris Saint-Germain.
Saka handballed the ball twice in the 16th minute of the contest, but neither referee Daniel Siebert nor VAR gave a spot kick, before they ultimately lost on penalties.
The decision has provoked immense debate on social media, with many feeling that the England star was lucky to get away without a sanction.
Spurs fans have been heavily involved in that, with many pointing back to their Champions League final loss to Liverpool in 2019.
Tottenham had a controversial handball decision go against them in that final, which completely changed the momentum of the game.

Why are Tottenham fans angry with PSG vs Arsenal incident
Tottenham star Moussa Sissoko was caught with his arm in the air as Sadio Mane fired it against him in the early stages of the Madrid final.
The referee, Damir Skomina, gave a penalty, and Mauricio Pochettino’s side could not get themselves back into the contest.
| Liverpool vs Tottenham stats (2019 UCL Final) | Liverpool | Tottenham |
| Possession | 35% | 65% |
| Shots | 14 | 16 |
| Shots on target | 3 | 8 |
| Accurate passes | 175 | 408 |
| Duels won | 30 | 34 |
Spurs fans have not forgotten the incident and highlighted the parallels between the two incidents, and are up in arms.
One supporter said: “This not being a handball after the Sissoko one being given against us within 20 seconds of our CL final. My head is on Jupiter.”
Sissoko had the ball deliberately booted at his arm pit from 5 yards, Penalty.

Saka has a clear view, no pressure, loads of time, handballs it twice, Play on.
This sport is rigged
THIS was given as handball but Saka early wasn’t even looked at. WTF M8?? #PSGARS #UCL #UCLfinal https://t.co/bTQRoeEURp

Another fan said: “Sissoko gave away a pen for having and armpit and we aren’t giving this???”

Another supporter just simply said: “Lol.”
Yet we had our UCL final ruined because of a ball kicked into the chest/shoulder of Sissoko.

Unreal.
It’s absolutely insane isn’t. Not even one handball. Two handballs. The irony of Sissoko in Madrid 2019 as well

Is Tottenham fury over Saka call justified?
UEFA are normally very strict with handball decisions, as seen with the Sissoko one when Spurs were the victims.
However, it appears that because the ball hit Saka’s chest first, it was deemed to be accidental and not punishable, so the Gunners benefited.
Spurs fans are rightfully angry, as they feel that Sissoko could not do much to stop the ball hitting his hand, as it also deflected off his body, but he was given the same leeway as Mikel Arteta’s side were.
A HUGE call for a PSG penalty…

Was it handball by Bukayo Saka? 👀

The anger from the Lilywhites fanbase is justified as their chance at European glory was essentially ruined by a similar incident to what the Arsenal man got away with.
Ultimately, it would not matter as the Parisians went on to win the showcase and deny the Gunners their first Champions League title.
It may be a while before they get back there, given the current state of the club, so they will have to settle for their North London rivals not winning it for the immediate future.
