Kevin Danso sends emotional message to Tottenham fans after Aston Villa win

Kevin Danso has pledged to Tottenham Hotspur supporters that the team will “keep giving everything” after Sunday’s win over Aston Villa.

The 27-year-old defender played the full 90 minutes at Villa Park on Sunday night, as Tottenham ran out 2-1 winners over Aston Villa.

Roberto De Zerbi has clearly been able to get a strong and clear message across to this Lilywhites group, as to a man, Spurs’ players didn’t stop running and pressing from the first whistle to the last.

Goals from Conor Gallagher and Richarlison left Villa Park stunned and furious, and despite a slightly improved performance in the second half, Tottenham were still able to see out the game with relative ease.

Tottenham’s win over Aston Villa has now put their relegation fate firmly back in Spurs’ hands, but with a tough final three games to come, they aren’t out of the woods just yet.

The central defender was extremely efficient in possession, and proved to be a defensive wall that Villa’s forwards couldn’t scale.

After the full-time whistle blew, he was seen going over to the travelling Tottenham fans and sharing in the celebrations with them.

However, as he’s written in a post to his Instagram account, Danso and Spurs’ players know that their mission isn’t complete yet, and has thanked the Lilywhites faithful for sticking with the team.

Tottenham could all but secure survival with Leeds win

So, following the win against Aston Villa, Tottenham now prepare to welcome Leeds United to N17 next Monday night.

The Whites have all but wrapped up their Premier League status for next season with a seven-point gap to 18th-placed West Ham, as we enter the final three games of the campaign.

Speaking of the Hammers, they have to play Arsenal at home on Sunday afternoon, which will obviously present a very tough task for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side to take anything from that match.

Therefore, this next clash with Leeds looks like being a massive opportunity for Tottenham to possibly pull four points clear of the Hammers, and then with two games to play, that would set the Lilywhites up for survival.
