View: Wolfsburg ace Micky van de Ven can grow at Tottenham after superb Bundesliga campaign

Versatility is hard to find in this day and age, but Tottenham target Micky van de Ven possess that characteristic.

The North London club need players able to adapt to different roles, with new manager Ange Postecoglou keen on a dynamic and energetic approach as he looks to get the club back to their very best.

One potential player to come in this summer is Wolfsburg ace Van de Ven, with Tottenham having opened direct talks with the German club for the signature of the central defender [Fabrizio Romano, 28 June].

Moreover, his 334km covered throughout the campaign was bettered by just 13 other players, as per the official Bundesliga website.

And finally, back on the defensive side of things, the Netherlands native blocked more shots (24) than any other Bundesliga player under the age of 25 last season, as per WhoScored.

The Wolfsburg man also proved his ability in the final third at times, with the 22-year-old scoring one goal and chipping in with two assists from his 33 league matches last season.

Of course given his age, there is plenty of room for development, with Postecoglou a great manager to work under in this regard.
