View: Son Heung-min puts on 93% masterclass in Tottenham draw v Arsenal

Tottenham remain unbeaten in the Premier League this season thanks to their hard-fought point against Arsenal.

Ange Postecoglou’s men clinched a 2-2 draw at the Emirates in the North London Derby on Sunday (24 September).

And while it was a team performance from the away side, one man that deserves plenty of the headlines is Son Heung-min.

The attacker produced an unstoppable display at his club’s fiercest rivals, with the South Korean international scoring both of his side’s goals.

However, the forward shone in other areas throughout his 79 minutes on the pitch, before being replaced by Brazilian ace Richarlison.

As per SofaScore, Son scored from his two shots on target, and was accurate with 13 of his 14 passes, boasting a 93% pass success rate.

Two of those passes were key, while the forward lost possession of the ball just once, fewer than any starter across both teams.

In stark contrast, Arsenal forwards Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah could not keep hold of the ball so well, ending their time on the pitch with passing accuracies of 71% and 75% respectively.

Moreover, both strikers missed one big chance at the Emirates, with the former losing possession 16 times and the latter losing possession nine times.

Son can hold his head very high after the brace, with the attacker continuing to shine following the summer exit of Harry Kane.

Tottenham fans were fearing the worst following the loss of their leading man, but Son has stepped up to the mark, and already boasts five goals this season.

He is now also breaking records, with the South Korean becoming the first ever Tottenham player to score twice in a Premier League North London Derby at the Emirates [Squawka, 24 September].

Squawka also noted that the attacker has more North London derby goals (six) than Gareth Bale, Thierry Henry and Robin van Persie (five).

In other Tottenham news, one player sent Postecoglou a message with his stunning 100% cameo against Sheffield United.
