View: Richarlison could miss perfect Tottenham chance v Everton to turn season around
Richarlison could now miss the perfect chance to turn his debut season around at Tottenham against Everton in the Premier League at Goodison Park on Monday 03 April.
Injury Expert, Ben Dinnery has predicted that the Brazilian has a 25% of making the squad and featuring against his former side after missing training.
Cristian Stellini has some big decisions to make as he takes charge of the club officially for the first time since the departure of Antonio Conte during the international break.
Richarlison arrived at the club from Everton for big money in the summer, and it has not gone as well as he would have hoped, with a trip to his former side the perfect catalyst to change that.
The 25-year-old has appeared 19 times in the Premier League so far and has failed to hit the back of the net, with his two goals coming in the Champions League.
Funnily enough, the striker managed to score more goals in the World Cup with Brazil as he hit the net four times in as many appearances for the Samba Stars.
Instead of shining at Goodison Park once again tomorrow, the Brazilian will instead likely be watching his current side take on his former from the comfort of his own home.
Looking at his numbers, it is clear that his numbers in the Premier League are lower than both the World Cup and the Champions League.
The 25-year-old has attempted one shot on goal per match in domestic action, with 0.7 key passes and 0.3 dribbles completed on average [WhoScored].
At Everton, he was the centre of attention and that responsibility saw him thrive, but it is also something that is not happening at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Looking at the above comparison from WhoScored, Richarlison thrived in attacking terms at the struggling Everton compared to the Champions League-chasing Spurs.
The attacker attempted more than double the shots per match, completed more key passes and more than quadrupled his dribbles when being under the spotlight.
Back under the shining lights of Goodison Park, Richarlison could have kickstarted his Spurs career well and truly tomorrow, but that looks unlikely to happen.
It’s a real shame.
