Tottenham vs Newcastle predicted by Supercomputer in Premier League showdown
Tottenham’s clash against Newcastle United on Tuesday could be a pivotal moment for Thomas Frank’s future.
Spurs lost 2-0 to Manchester United last time out in the Premier League, as the Lilywhites have now fallen to 15th place in the top flight.
Frank is under pressure at Tottenham, despite a recent unbeaten run of four games, but an out-of-form Newcastle could give the Dane a huge lifeline in N17.
Newcastle fans are starting to grow frustrated with Eddie Howe, with the Magpies now winless in their last five games, having conceded 13 goals in that period.
But Opta‘s Supercomputer already knows which manager could face the sack when it’s all said and done at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Supercomputer predicts Tottenham for a possible turning point win vs Newcastle
Frank has already gotten under Howe’s skin in the reverse fixture earlier this year, as Tottenham drew 2-2 with Newcastle after a heroic brace from Cristian Romero.
However, the Lilywhites will be without their captain this time around, after the Argentine was shown a straight red card for a reckless challenge on Casemiro against Man United.
Regardless, Opta‘s Supercomputer thinks Spurs will still have enough, and has predicted Frank’s side to beat the Magpies with a 40.7 per cent chance of victory.
- Newcastle have an estimated 32.6% chance of winning
- That leaves a 26.7% opportunity for another draw
Even though Spurs are the favourites to win, Newcastle’s 32.6 per cent chance of victory will still worry Frank. A loss for either manager could see them relieved of their duties.

It would be a lie to say that Tottenham haven’t shown a slight improvement, excluding the Man United loss, and three points from the Newcastle showdown could change everything in N17.
Thomas Frank’s only positive from Man United loss; stat’s prove it
The defeat to Man United was damaging in more ways than one, with Romero’s sending off and Destiny Udogie’s injury also proving a problem.
But a key standout for the Lilywhites was Xavi Simons. The Dutchman has had his critics this season, but then numbers from his own performance finally showed a glimpse of promise moving forward.
Simons completed three dribbles successfully, which was the most out of any player in the match, created Spurs’ only big chance of the contest and also won seven ground duels.
Considering the external pressure that he and his teammates were facing at Old Trafford, Simons stood up to the challenge.
It’s not much, but it’s something for the attacking midfielder to build on, as he could be the difference maker in a crucial week for the Lilywhites.
