Tottenham player ratings vs Bodo/Glimt – Micky van de Ven the only positive, 3/10 star anonymous
Tottenham snatched a 2-2 draw in the dying stages of their Champions League clash with Bodo/Glimt on Tuesday night.
The Lilywhites have made a bright start to the new Premier League season, but they struggled in this continental clash, as their hosts dominated large parts of proceedings.
The trip to Bodo/Glimt was always likely to be awkward for Tottenham, and it proved that way, as Jens Petter Hauge netted a superb brace in the second half, before Micky van de Ven’s header and a fortuitous late own goal from Jostein Gundersen levelled the game.
It was a hugely disappointing night for Thomas Frank’s men, and with that in mind, Tottenham News rates the performances of every single Spurs player.

Micky van de Ven a 7/10 for Tottenham
Tottenham have received interest in Van de Ven from Real Madrid recently, but he was far below his usual standard against Bodo/Glimt.
That said, the Netherlands international was still the best performer on a torrid night for the N17 outfit.
He got Spurs back into the game in the latter stages, as he produced an excellent header to glance home a free-kick from Pedro Porro to hand his team a lifeline.
It was not a performance to be proud of for the Tottenham defence, but Van de Ven did at least make significant contributions to hold the hosts at bay for as long as they did.

The 24-year-old completed a game-high 10 defensive actions and made some crucial interventions in his own third.
It was far from his best showing, but he the only real positive of the evening for the Lilywhites, and as a result, was worthy of a 7/10 rating.

Richarlison anonymous for Spurs
Richarlison has made a bright start at Tottenham this season, but there is still plenty of frustration surrounding the Brazilian’s consistency.
Unfortunately, against Bodo/Glimt he looked to be back to the player who has largely struggled during his time in North London.
The striker was devoid of service for the majority of the game, but failed to provide a decent outlet for his side, and simply didn’t make himself available often enough to relieve the pressure on his team.
He completed just 40% of his passes, with a staggeringly low final total of two accurate passes throughout the 90 minutes. The frontman also had just 10 touches of the ball throughout the game, the lowest total of anyone who started the game.
Stats | Richarlison Total |
Touches | 10 |
Accurate Passes | 2/5 (40%) |
xG | 0.73 |
Duels Won | 3/4 (75%) |
Shots on Target | 1 |
Richarlison didn’t have many opportunities on goal, but miskicked a cross from Lucas Bergvall in the early stages that could have provided a completely different complexion to the game.

It was a terrible performance from the frontman, who was worthy of little more than a 3/10 rating.
