Tottenham are in for a treat as ‘exceptional’ Mohammed Kudus wins plaudits after Slavia Prague win

Tottenham overcome Slavia Prague 3-0 on Tuesday, with Mohammed Kudus being one of the stars of the show.

It was a fantastic performance from Spurs, who dominated the Czech side from start to finish.

Kudus was excellent against Slavia Prague, with the winger netting the hosts’ second goal from the penalty spot.

With Thomas Frank under pressure at Tottenham, the win will no doubt be a boost for the Dane.

However, it was Kudus who won the hearts of the pundits after the show.

Owen Hargreaves: Mohammed Kudus was exceptional

Kudus has been an excellent signing for Tottenham since he joined the club, and he continued this form on Tuesday.

The Slavia defence struggled to contain the winger, who proved to be a constant nuisance.

Reviewing the match after, Owen Hargreaves picked out Kudus as the star on the show on TNT Sports on 9 December.

He said: I thought they did OK. I think they did enough, obviously, to win the game. They posed a decent threat, but I think keeping a clean sheet, obviously with Vicario, was important. I thought there were a lot of positives, a lot of players got minutes.

“I thought Kudus was the best player by far. He was exceptional. There were a lot of positives for Tottenham. Overall, I think Tottenham will be delighted.”

If Kudus continues this vein of form, Tottenham are no doubt in for a treat.

The winger has proved to be unplayable at times, and has easily been the best signing of the summer.

If he can keep this up, there is no doubt that he can become a icon at the North London club.

Now, Kudus needs to add consistency to his displays to ensure he is making this type of impact every match.

Consistency is key for Kudus going forward

According to Fotmob on 9 December, Kudus’ stats were excellent against Slavia Prague.

The winger completed 84 per cent of his passes, created one big chance and had two shots despite playing just under an hour.

This is part of a great run of form from the former West Ham star, who has now collected three goal contributions in his last four matches.

However, up until the Fulham defeat, he had been poor for well over a month, with games such as the Villa defeat showcasing his inconsistent side.

Frank will need to quickly iron this out if Kudus is to reach the next level.
