Thomas Frank on course for unwanted Tottenham record already ahead of Everton clash
Tottenham face Everton on Sunday, having won just one of their last five.
Form has not been on the side of Spurs lately, who have managed just one Premier League win since well over a month ago.
Tottenham’s 0-0 draw with Monaco in the Champions League sparked some concern, while their latest defeat in the league to Aston Villa did more of the same.
Frank needs to turn his side’s fortunes around, and if not, he risks leading the table for a Premier League stat which would not go down well in North London.

Tottenham are poor at holding leads
Tottenham went 1-0 up against Aston Villa, only to fall to a 2-1 defeat come the end of the game, having suffered a similar fate on several occasions last season.
It was a campaign to forget for the North Londoners, who couldn’t seem to buy any luck in domestic competitions.
While a lot of the focus was on the defeats, very few took much notice of the nature of them, and it is something that Frank has fallen victim to several times himself.
Since the start of the last campaign, no Premier League side has lost more games from winning positions than Tottenham.
Spurs have lost on eight occasions, with Fulham matching suit.
Even more concern will be raised by the fact that Frank has lost from a winning position six times in that period, with Marco Silva and Leeds-linked Ange Postecoglou the only managers above him.
If Tottenham are to achieve something this season, they need to be able to hold a lead, and with Frank just two defeats away from holding that unwanted record, there will be concern.

Tottenham’s record vs Everton should ease worries
While it is clearly something that Tottenham need to address, there should be few, if any, worries about it being on show when they face Everton.
Dating all the way back to 1904, these two sides have faced off against each other on 191 occasions, with Spurs having the last laugh more than Everton.
Tottenham won the first-ever meeting back in 1904, and have won a further 71 since.

Before Tottenham’s 3-2 defeat to Everton in January, they had not lost to the Merseysiders since 2021, with an eight-game unbeaten run between that.
Tottenham are the perceived underdogs for their clash with Everton, but they should have more than enough in their locker.
