Thomas Frank might be about to have Tottenham’s new Harry Kane available to play
Tottenham have enjoyed a successful start to their Premier League campaign under Thomas Frank.
The Lilywhites sit third in the table after registering impressive wins against Man City, Leeds, and West Ham.
Tottenham have had many injury issues this season, with Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison among the long-term absentees.
Ahead of their match against Aston Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, one star is set for a return to action, and he could be key to Frank’s success in N17.

Randal Kolo Muani has goalscoring pedigree that could propel Tottenham to new heights
Randal Kolo Muani joined Spurs on a season-long loan from Paris Saint-Germain, yet he’s only featured in one matchday squad under Frank.
However, Kolo Muani is set to return for Tottenham versus Villa after being sidelined for the majority of the season.
His goalscoring record over the last five years has been magnificent, with Frank looking to nail down a striker who is reliable in front of goal.
Team | Games played | Goals scored |
Nantes | 81 | 23 |
Frankfurt | 50 | 36 |
Paris Saint-Germain | 54 | 11 |
Juventus | 22 | 10 |
After his emergence in Germany, Kolo Muani left Frankfurt to join Paris Saint-Germain for a staggering £76.4million fee.
The 26-year-old struggled to gain regular minutes in Paris, and he was eventually loaned out to Juventus for the second half of the 2024-25 season.
In Turin, Kolo Muani registered a goal every 136 minutes and played a huge role in ensuring that Juventus would qualify for Champions League football.
Kolo Muani was also part of the France squad that lost out to Argentina in the thrilling 2022 World Cup final, whilst he has also won five major trophies throughout his career.
Tottenham have been crying out for a prolific striker since Harry Kane’s departure in 2023, and Kolo Muani could be exactly what they need to secure Champions League football for next season.

With Dominic Solanke injured, Kolo Muani’s main competitor for the starting striker spot is Richarlison.

Randal Kolo Muani must start over Richarlison
Richarlison started the season on fire, yet his form has slowly dropped off in recent weeks.
After disappointing displays against Wolves and Bodo Glimt, he was subsequently dropped in favour of Mathys Tel for the 2-1 win over Leeds.
With Tel naturally thriving when playing on the left wing, all Kolo Muani must do is prove to Frank that he is more effective than Richarlison over the upcoming weeks.
The 2026 World Cup is fast-approaching, and Kolo Muani will be aiming to hit the ground running for Spurs so he can be included in France’s squad in June.
Frank has gotten the best out of Ollie Watkins and Ivan Toney in the past, and with Kolo Muani possessing a similar profile, it’s clear that the 23-year-old could become a major success at Tottenham.
