Thomas Frank given welcome Mohammed Kudus news that won’t go down well away from Tottenham

Mohammed Kudus has not joined the Ghana squad for their upcoming international friendlies.

The African nation are preparing for the upcoming World Cup in the summer after finishing top of their qualifying group.

Therefore, they would have likely wanted Kudus, who has been sensational for Ghana, in their squad for their friendlies against Japan and South Korea over the next week.

However, given Kudus’ recent injury at Tottenham, he has not travelled according to Football London on 10 November, likely to the delight of Thomas Frank.

Mohammed Kudus staying at Tottenham will be a huge boost for Thomas Frank

For Frank, the manager will be pleased to see the winger stay at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during the international break.

The 25-year-old has missed Spurs’ last two matches through injury, in what has no doubt been a blow for the Dane.

According to Fotmob on 10 November, Kudus has been sensational for Tottenham to date, with his 87% passing accuracy being a particular highlight.

Now, with the winger expected back for the Arsenal game, Frank will be pleased that he isn’t travelling, so he can ensure that Kudus is in the best possible condition for the North London derby.

However, Ghana are likely fuming with the news, as they look to get their squad in the best possible shape for the World Cup.

While Kudus is almost certain to be in the squad in the summer anyway, he is now set to miss potentially important training sessions just months before the tournament begins.

What has Frank said about Kudus’ injury?

While Kudus remains on the sidelines, Frank is pleased about the progress he is making.

Speaking about the winger before the Manchester United game, the manager is hopeful he will be back after the international break.

He said: “Very confident that he (Kudus) should be available for the next one”.

As a result, the winger should be in the team for the Arsenal match, barring any further setbacks.
