Randal Kolo Muani could make Champions League history for Tottenham vs Villarreal
Randal Kolo Muani was an eye-catching signing for Tottenham on transfer deadline day.
However, the forward was an unused substitute in Spurs’ 3-0 demolition of London rivals West Ham on Saturday.
While he is building his fitness in North London, Kolo Muani could make his Tottenham debut against Villarreal in the Champions League.
Indeed, if the 26-year-old does play on Tuesday, then he will do something that no player has done in the last three years.

Randal Kolo Muani to play for fourth Champions League team with Tottenham
If he does feature in the Champions League, then it will be intriguing to see how Frank fits Kolo Muani into his Spurs team.
The 26-year-old has primarily played as a centre-forward during his career, while he can also operate out wide.
Against West Ham, Frank opted for Mathys Tel to spearhead his attack, but he will surely rotate against a stronger opponent.
If he does offer Kolo Muani his first start, which will surely be the case, then it will be the fourth different side he has represented in the Champions League since the start of the 2022/23 season.
- Eintracht Frankfurt (2022/23)
- PSG (2023/24)
- Juventus (2024/25)
- Tottenham (2025-26)
The France international has previously played for Frankfurt, PSG and Juventus, where he spent the second half of last season on loan.
There is no active Champions League player who has played for four different sides during this period, meaning he is set to make some history.

What is Randal Kolo Muani’s Champions League record?
While the forward has boasted a healthy goalscoring record during his career, he has not enjoyed much success in the Champions League.
During his time with Frankfurt, Kolo Muani notched 26 goals in 50 appearances, but only scored twice in seven Champions League games.
For PSG, the forward played 10 times on their route to the semi-finals, scoring once against AC Milan.
Last season, Kolo Muani only had the chance to feature twice in Europe’s premier competition, but did not score in two appearances.
For Spurs, the forward should have more of an opportunity as he is set to make history in Europe.
