Postecoglou delivers Son injury update ahead of Tottenham v Bodø/Glimt
Ange Postecoglou has confirmed whether Son Heung-min will be available for Tottenham against Bodø/Glimt.
Son last featured in the 1-1 draw with Frankfurt at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (10 April).
Spurs eventually advanced past the German side to reach the semi-final of the UEFA Europa League. The first leg of the North London club’s semi-final clash against Bodø/Glimt will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday (1 May).
And Postecoglou has confirmed whether Son is fit to return for the season-defining showdown.

Son unavailable for Tottenham v Bodø/Glimt
Regardless of whether Spurs win the Europa League, Daniel Levy is expected to sack Postecoglou.
However, the 59-year-old and his players will still be fully focused on ending Spurs’ 17-year trophy drought.
Fixture | Date | Venue |
Tottenham v Bodø/Glimt | 1 May | Tottenham Hotspur Stadium |
Bodø/Glimt v Tottenham | 8 May | Aspmyra Stadion |
Concerns about Son emerged ahead of the tie on Thursday as Sky Sports shared an update from Hotspur Way, and Postecoglou has now confirmed that Tottenham will be without their captain for the first leg against Bodø/Glimt.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Wednesday (30 April), Postecoglou said, “Son won’t feature tomorrow night. He’s still separate from the group, and hopefully we can get him back soon.”
Son absence a major blow for Tottenham
It hasn’t been the finest season on an individual level for Son.
In his most recent appearance, the Europa League quarter-final first leg draw with Frankfurt, the forward completed 86 per cent of his passes but also failed with both of his dribble attempts [Sofascore].
In addition, the South Korean gave the ball away 12 times, won just one of his four ground duels and provided one accurate cross from three attempts. Therefore, some supporters might argue that Son isn’t a major miss based on his recent form.
However, the 32-year-old is still the biggest name at Tottenham, and despite his struggles this season, Son is a big-game player who can win a football match on his own. As a result, not having him available is a blow for Postecoglou.
