Man United vs Tottenham predicted by supercomputer in Premier League showdown

Tottenham are back in Premier League action when they travel to face Man United on Saturday.

Thomas Frank is under severe pressure at Tottenham as fans continue to voice their discontent, and every poor result could now lead to his sacking.

Spurs go into Saturday’s clash at Old Trafford sitting 14th in the Premier League table, and their hopes of qualifying for Champions League football next season are becoming increasingly slim.

Man United and Tottenham drew 2-2 on 8 November, and Frank’s side can’t afford to slip up against the Red Devils, who are currently fourth in the league table.

Man United heavy favourites to beat Tottenham

Michael Carrick’s side are on a roll at the moment, having won their last three league games.

Their most recent result was a dramatic 3-2 victory over Fulham, with Benjamin Sesko scoring a 94th-minute winner.

According to Opta, Spurs are set to lose on their travels.

A loss isn’t good for the Dane’s long-term future at Spurs, and he needs to secure all three points, no matter the cost.

The one positive for Frank is Tottenham’s impressive record against the Red Devils in recent years.

Man United are winless in their last six league games against Spurs, their joint-longest run without a win against them.

Tottenham won this exact fixture 3-0 last season – only once have they won consecutive away games against Man Utd in the Premier League, doing so in January 2014.

Rarely has this fixture let Spurs fans down in the last three years, and now is certainly not the time for that unbeaten streak to end.

Dominic Solanke is Tottenham’s only hope vs Man United

Clearly, Tottenham haven’t been good defensively all season.

Only Burnley (23) and Wolves (21) have conceded more first-half goals than Spurs (18) in the Premier League this season.

However, Spurs fans will be buoyed by Dominic Solanke’s recent return to form.

Solanke was excellent against Man City on Sunday, with both of his goals signifying how important his role is under Frank.

Of course, Man United have the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Matheus Cunha, who can inflict damage of their own.

However, if Spurs are to secure all three points on the road, they’ll need their talisman to be at the top of his game at Old Trafford.

Otherwise, Frank will be on the chopping block once again.
