Jurgen Klopp to axe Trent Alexander-Arnold in five changes – Liverpool predicted XI v Tottenham

Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool are set to welcome Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham to Anfield on Sunday 5 May.

Both teams come into the Premier League clash low on confidence after a difficult few weeks.

Liverpool have just one win in five in the Premier League and were dumped out of the UEFA Europa League last month while Tottenham have lost their last three matches on the bounce.

With the Reds’ title chances all but over while Spurs’ hopes of finishing in the top four look a far-fetched possibility, this clash could prove to be the final nail in the coffin for one team’s season.

Tottenham have a horrible record at Anfield, although this is arguably the North London side’s best chance in years to take anything away from Liverpool considering the home side’s recent form, and Tottenham News has taken a look at how Klopp could line his team up on Sunday afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp to make five Liverpool changes against Tottenham on Sunday

Alisson will likely keep his place between the sticks after making six saves and completing 92 per cent of his passes in the 2-2 draw with West Ham at the London Stadium on Saturday 27 April (Sofascore).

Trent Alexander-Arnold won zero per cent of his ground duels and aerial duels against the Hammers while being dribbled past twice, and he could therefore make way for Conor Bradley.

Jarell Quansah is likely to keep his place and lineup alongside Ibrahima Konate, with Virgil Van Dijk set to miss out.

Andrew Robertson got himself on the scoresheet last time out and played five key passes, and he could therefore keep his place at left-back.

Alexis Mac Allister and Wataru Endo should keep their place in midfield while Dominik Szoboszlai could come in for Ryan Gravenberch, who completed just 80 per cent of his passes and lost all three of his aerial duels at the London Stadium.

Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah will likely return to the front three in place of Cody Gakpo and Harvey Elliott.

Elliott failed with all three of his dribble attempts against David Moyes’ side while Gakpo had eight shots, with none of those attempts finding the target.
