Ange Postecoglou to axe Dejan Kulusevski in three changes – Tottenham predicted XI v Burnley
Ange Postecoglou could make three changes when Tottenham face Burnley on Saturday (11 May).
After four consecutive defeats against Newcastle United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, things get slightly easier for Spurs as they welcome Burnley to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
However, this match won’t be straightforward, with Vincent Kompany’s side fighting for their lives in the Premier League.
While UEFA Champions League qualification looks to be out of reach, Postecoglou will be keen to ensure his side doesn’t slip out of the top five and miss out on a place in the UEFA Europa League.
Three points against Burnley will go a long way in fending off the teams below them and to give his side the best possible chance on Saturday, Postecoglou could look to make three changes from the 4-2 loss to Liverpool at Anfield (5 May).

While Spurs continue to concede plenty of goals, it is hard to place the blame on Guglielmo Vicario who made eight saves against Liverpool (Sofascore) and should therefore keep his place in the team.
Emerson Royal had an afternoon to forget on Merseyside, winning just 50 per cent of his ground duels, and with a lack of left-backs available to him, Postecoglou could look to move Micky van de Ven into that position.
That could mean that Radu Dragusin comes in to start alongside Cristian Romero, who made a clearance off the line and completed 92 per cent of his passes against the Reds.
Pedro Porro is likely to continue at right-back despite yet another underwhelming display against Jurgen Klopp’s side which saw him complete just 69 per cent of his passes and give the ball away 24 times.
Yves Bissouma could make way after winning just 25 per cent of his ground duels last time out, with James Maddison in contention to regain his place and start in front of Rodrigo Bentancur and Pape Matar Sarr as part of a midfield three.
Dejan Kulusevski was poor against Liverpool, completing just one of his three dribble attempts and failing to play a key pass.
Richarlison came off the bench to grab a goal and should replace Kulusevski in the Tottenham front-three, which would see Son Heung-min move to the left and Brennan Johnson start in his preferred position on the right.

The Wales international provided two key passes and set up Richarlison against Liverpool, and Postecoglou could therefore look to unlock that combination once again.
