Tottenham defender returns to Hotspur Way after crushing injury news
Tottenham receive another injury blow after a difficult campaign in the Women’s Super League.
It has been a massively underwhelming season for Robert Vilahamn after reaching the FA Cup final in 2023/24.
The Lilywhites extended their winless run to 10 in a 1-1 draw to Everton during the last WSL game of the season, ending the year with just 5 wins.
Now, with the club season under wraps, Tottenham have been handed another devastating injury blow that could impact the new season.

Ella Morris suffers ACL injury during England training
Tottenham have been on the receiving end of several injuries that have disrupted their season.
Kit Graham was sidelined for the entire season after suffering her second ACL injury in just over two years during pre-season training.

Meanwhile, Tottenham right-back Morris had been hoping to make her senior England debut against Portugal in the Nations League on Friday (30 May) after she was named in Sarina Wiegman’s squad for the first time.
However, the 22-year-old will return to Hotspur way after sustaining an ACL injury during England training.
England said in a statement on X (28 May): “Ella Morris has suffered an ACL injury in training and will return to Tottenham Hotspur to begin her rehabilitation. England’s support team will remain in close contact with her and the club.
“Everyone involved with the Lionesses wishes Ella the very best with her recovery.
“Midfielder Laura Blindkilde Brown has received her third senior call-up and has joined the 26-player squad at St George’s Park.”
Vilahamn will need to get creative next season
While Tottenham suffered their fair share of injuries last season, coach Vilahamn seemed to have a plan, at least one which put them in contention for silverware.
This season, injuries to key squad players such as Drew Spence, Hayley Raso and Morris have forced the Spurs manager to adapt, only this time he seemed to have hit a dead end.
Tottenham have been a side devoid of creativity and fresh ideas, lacking the guidance and personnel to play attractive football.
Today it is Morris, tomorrow there will be someone new, and Vilahamn needs to start getting creative with his solutions from next season.
