Robert Vilahamn handed major boost ahead of Liverpool Women v Tottenham Women
Robert Vilahamn will be able to recall one player when Tottenham Women travel to Liverpool Women in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
It has been a disappointing second season in charge of Tottenham for Vilahamn.
The Lilywhites are without a win since January and have lost seven of their last eight matches in all competitions, most recently suffering a 3-2 WSL defeat to Aston Villa Women at Brisbane Road (20 April).
As a result, Tottenham will be keen to get back to winning ways when they travel to St Helens Stadium to take on Liverpool in the WSL on Sunday (27 April).
And Vilahamn has been handed a welcome injury boost ahead of the clash.

Vilahamn has Charlotte Grant available for Liverpool v Tottenham
Grant missed the defeat to Aston Villa after suffering a knock on international duty, where she made a positive impact with Australia Women.
However, Vilahamn has confirmed that the defender is back and available for selection for the trip to Liverpool, where Spurs will be looking to potentially climb the WSL.
Barclays Women’s Super League | Position | Points |
Liverpool Women | 5th | 24 |
Brighton & Hove Albion Women | 6th | 22 |
West Ham United Women | 7th | 20 |
Everton Women | 8th | 20 |
Tottenham Women | 9th | 18 |
Leicester City Women | 10th | 16 |
Grant has been in and out of the Tottenham team this season.
However, while on international duty for Australia, she demonstrated her quality. Grant started in a 1-0 friendly win against South Korea Women at the Alianz Stadium on Friday, 4 April, where she made five tackles, two interceptions and succeeded with 100 per cent of her attempted dribbles [Sofascore].
She once again started as Australia beat South Korea for a second time, this time 2-0 at the Newcastle International Sports Centre on Monday, 7 April. On this occasion, the Spurs star made two clearances and two interceptions while playing one key pass as she helped her nation keep a second clean sheet in as many games.
Therefore, Vilahamn will perhaps be tempted to reintroduce the 23-year-old against the Reds.
Tottenham need a positive result against Liverpool
If Spurs have any chance of climbing the WSL before the end of the season, they need to pick up three points against Liverpool.
There is no getting away from the fact that it has been a disappointing season for Vilahamn and his players. However, they still have the chance to end a disappointing campaign on a high note.
