Yang and Alfie Devine exits confirmed – Which player could leave Tottenham next?

Tottenham Hotspur have overseen multiple departures so far in the summer transfer window.

Aside from the major departure of the off-season, with Spurs icon Son Heung-min leaving to join Los Angeles FC in the MLS, numerous youngsters have also left the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Among these are Alfie Devine and Yang Min-hyeok, who both left the Lilywhites on loan to join Preston and Portsmouth, respectively, for the upcoming season.

However, another senior player could be set to follow the two youngsters out the door, as Thomas Frank continues to rebuild his squad ahead of the new season.

Yves Bissouma could leave Spurs next

Following the arrival of Joao Palhinha on loan from Bayern Munich, Yves Bissouma’s future in N17 appears to have grown more uncertain.

Despite a difficult debut against Bayern Munich on Thursday (7 August), fans would imagine Frank would have the former Fulham man above Bissouma in the pecking order next season.

Bissouma has been touted to leave North London following Palhinha’s arrival, and it’s easy to see why.

The Mali international has attracted interest from overseas this summer, with Fenerbache and Juventus reportedly interested in the ex-Brighton man.

Frank must get Palhinha back to his best

With Palhinha failing to integrate himself into the team during his season in Germany with Bayern Munich, it is up to the new Spurs boss to reignite his career.

Palhinha developed into one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League during his time at Fulham, and if he can rediscover that same form, then Spurs will have secured a defensive upgrade in their midfield when compared to Bissouma.

Given Spurs’ defensive frailties last season, having a defensive midfielder who is superior at winning the ball back as well as their duels is a smart signing.

Selling Bissouma would be a wise move, with his injury troubles meaning he is unlikely to earn a new contract with the Lilywhites.
