What Tottenham must now do in remaining transfer window after opening day win vs Burnley
Tottenham still have work to do in the window despite a comfortable win against Burnley in the Premier League.
Tottenham’s 3-0 win against Burnley was enough to boost morale in Thomas Frank and the project ahead.
Mohammed Kudus was a standout for Spurs. His pace, precision and technique saw him work two excellent assists for Richarlison.
Despite the stunning victory, there were gaps on full display throughout the game. As a result, Daniel Levy will need to accelerate his pursuit of several recruits.
Tottenham must go all in for Eberechi Eze
Tottenham have ramped up negotiations for Eberechi Eze after missing out on Morgan Gibbs-White earlier this summer.
While the Lilywhites are confident of getting the deal over the line, their recent Premier League performance demonstrated why his signing is a must.
Frank’s side won comfortably at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday. But it was not a showing of pure dominance.
Burnley had two fewer shots on goal and shots on target than the home side despite having less possession. Having possession is important in football, but what you do with it is what matters most.

Integrating Eze into the midfield would help solve this issue. As a number 10, he is purposeful in his movement and is as much of a creative threat as he is a goalscoring one.
With Eze now set to start for Crystal Palace against Chelsea, this is a sign more than any that Spurs must go all in for the midfielder.

Tottenham should make Savinho a secondary consideration
Tottenham want both Eze and Savinho to arrive at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.
Savinho would be an excellent signing for Spurs. He offers a balance of technicality, pace and creativity on the wing, which could come in handy.
However, Kudus’ and Brennan Johnson’s performances against Burnley have indicated that Eze should be Spurs’ priority.

This does not mean that the Lilywhites should abandon the file. On the contrary, they should seek to bring him to North London. But only after Eze’s transfer is signed and sealed.
