‘Tottenham use perfect trump card’ to push through Ramsey exit at Aston Villa
Tottenham target Jacob Ramsey is reportedly unhappy at Aston Villa.
The midfielder appears to be upset at the lack of starts offered to him last season and believes his career would be more likely to progress elsewhere.
This news could please Spurs manager Thomas Frank, who has the perfect trump card to tempt Ramsey to North London.

Frank can pounce to snag Ramsey away from Aston Villa
Tottenham can offer any new signing Champions League football, having qualified for Europe’s elite competition as winners of the Europa League.
However, Frank is also in a position where he could offer Ramsey more minutes at Spurs than he is getting at Aston Villa.
According to former Villa and Spurs scout Mick Brown, via Football Insider (3 July), Ramsey could be open to a move to Spurs if given the promise of more football.
“From what I hear, Spurs would be prepared to offer him more minutes from the start of games than he is currently getting at Villa,” Brown added.
If he has the opportunity to speak to Ramsey, Emery could explain how he’s building a new team from scratch and wants him to be a key part of it.
This can be a powerful statement, especially from a manager of a Champions League team with a huge transfer budget.
He could essentially communicate that he has all this money to buy any midfielder but it’s Ramsey he wants, and that is believed to be the case.

Frank will show his ‘pull’ in this transfer window
A manager’s ‘pull’ describes their ability to tempt a rival player to join their club, particularly when there is competition for his signature. All the top managers had it.
We will discover the level of Thomas Frank’s ‘pull’ during this transfer window.
Spurs are targeting some elite players in this transfer window – stars who are proven at the top level – so naturally there will be other big clubs sniffing around them.
Frank will need to be able to persuade these top stars that Tottenham is their best option.

With Ramsey, that may very well be the case. Spurs have been tracking him since long before Frank was appointed.
The Englishman is 24 years old now. He’s played in the Champions League. He has shown his talent at the highest level. He doesn’t want to be a bit-part player anymore. He wants to go somewhere he feels loved.
If Frank can make Ramsey feel that desire, he could land a very important transfer.
