Tottenham ‘transfer concern grows’ after new Jarrad Branthwaite announcement
Tottenham will want the Thomas Frank era to bring positivity and stability to a club that has lacked the latter for years.
During the current window, Spurs have signed Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso permanently after they spent the second half of last season on loan in North London.
Kota Takai will also arrive at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, joining for £5million from Kawasaki Frontale.
However, after Jarrad Branthwaite signed a new deal at Everton, a worrying trend has emerged in North London.

Branthwaite news part of worrying Tottenham trend
Branthwaite was reportedly a target for Tottenham as a host of significant names have been linked with a move to Hotspur Way.
With Christian Romero’s Spurs future in the balance, the Everton centre-back would have been a worthy replacement.
However, with the 23-year-old set to stay in the North West, Tottenham have missed out on yet another target.
Jarrad Branthwaite’s 2024/25 Premier League statistics | Total |
Appearances | 30 |
Assists | 1 |
Clean sheets | 8 |
Tackles per game | 1.2 |
Clearances | 6.3 |
Accurate passes | 32.7 (83%) |
This has been a familiar trend this summer, with players opting for other clubs or indeed their own in Branthwaite’s case.
Leroy Sane seemed to be a likely option for Spurs, but he decided on a move to Galatasaray over a switch to North London.
Like Branthwaite, Antoine Semenyo has tied his future down to his current employer by signing a new deal with AFC Bournemouth.
Perhaps a tad on the ambitious side, but Marc Guehi seemingly has options on the table, and Tottenham is not his most likely destination.
The list goes on, and one does wonder just who will choose a move to the Lilywhites this summer.

Spurs need signings, but who can Frank lure to North London?
While they have time, the clock is ticking for Tottenham to sign quality players for the new season.
One player to keep an eye on is West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus, who has a wealth of admirers.
However, it does not seem that the likes of Arsenal or Liverpool are tempted by the Ghanaian, meaning a move to Spurs is more realistic.
He will come at a price, though, and Daniel Levy will need to negotiate to likely bring that down.
Another player who could move is Tyler Dibling, who was relegated to the Championship with Southampton.
Dibling is a player of substantial potential, and the Saints would surely not be able to resist a bid in the region of £40million to £50million.
Right now, it seems that Spurs are going to be feeding on scraps as they fail to nail their desired targets.
