Tottenham ‘to sign Bryan Mbuemo’ after Brentford exit admission

Tottenham may have just been handed a boost in their pursuit of Bryan Mbuemo after the latest update from Brentford.

Tottenham‘s main focus for the time being will be on Europa League success, ahead of their reverse fixture against Bodo/Glimt midweek.

However, as soon as the season is over, attention will turn to the summer transfer window, and Spurs have a remarkable amount of work to do.

Not only will there be a decision to make on the future of Ange Postecoglou, but recruitment will play a crucial role going forward, and Tottenham may now be aware of where to look for their first addition.

Mbuemo tipped for Brentford exit amid Spurs interest

Tottenham were linked with a move for Mbuemo in the winter transfer window, though any move failed to materialise and the forward remained at Brentford, alongside formerly-linked manager Thomas Frank.

The Cameroon international has been in piping hot form for the Bees this season, registering a total of 24 goal contributions in the league alone, but teammate Christian Norgaard has admitted that they expect him to leave this summer.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Norgaard said: “I think Bryan [Mbuemo] is likely to go.”

Mbuemo’s versatility has proved to be invaluable for Brentford throughout the campaign, and that could provide Spurs with an extra incentive to revisit a deal for him if the chance arises in the next few months.

Tottenham to recruit well this summer

With a return to North London mooted for Fabio Paratici, the pressure will be on Tottenham to bring in some quality signings that are capable of getting them heading back in the right direction after a dismal season.

Mbuemo would fit the bill, but they will need several more additions if they are to have any chance of being back where they belong.

With Cristian Romero heading for the exit and several others expected to leave, this summer will be a huge one, and it is imperative that they get every decision right.
