Tottenham player ratings v Wolves: 3/10 dud could get Ange sacked
Son Heung-min let Ange Postecoglou down as Tottenham drew 2-2 with Wolves in the Premier League.
Postecoglou was handed a big boost ahead of kick-off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 29 December, but it didn’t stop Wolves from taking the lead after just seven minutes.
However, Spurs only needed four minutes to draw level, with Rodrigo Bentancur blowing Tim Sherwood away with his equalising goal.
And after Son missed a penalty, perhaps surprisingly, Brennan Johnson stepped up to give his side the lead just before half-time.
However, Spurs were unable to hold on, with Jørgen Strand Larsen securing a deserved point for the visitors late on with a fantastic finish.
Tottenham News has rated the performance of each player out of 10.
Fraser Forster – 6
Made a couple of big saves to help Spurs hold on but perhaps could have done better with Wolves’ late equaliser. A few nervy moments with the ball at his feet.
Pedro Porro – 7
Whipped in a fantastic delivery for Bentancur’s equaliser. However, he did show some moments of defensive fragility in the second half.
Archie Gray – 7
Continues to make a solid impression of himself playing out of position. Couldn’t do much about either of the Wolves goals.
Radu Drăgușin – 7
Provided his manager with a boost by being available for selection and like Gray, didn’t put too much of a foot wrong and could do very little about both Wolves goals.
Destiny Udogie – 5
Forced off with a hamstring injury which will no doubt be a concern for Postecoglou.
Yves Bissouma – 5
Had a relatively quiet first half in the middle of the park before being hooked midway through the second half.
Rodrigo Bentancur – 8
Came up with a huge goal at a pivotal moment for his manager. Some tidy work in midfield during a much more difficult second half.
Dejan Kulusevski – 7
Looked a constant threat for Spurs and did well to set up Johnson just before halftime. However, he did miss a good opportunity to score a third and wrap up the win.
Brennan Johnson – 7
Scored an important goal in North London and worked a bit harder than he usually does defensively. Hooked early in the second half as part of a triple change.
Dominic Solanke – 6
Worked hard up front but failed to find himself in many useful shooting positions. Unlucky not to get an assist after teeing up Kulusevski with some wonderful play.
Son Heung-min lets Tottenham down against Wolves
Son Heung-min – 3
Offered practically nothing throughout the match and then missed the chance to give Spurs the lead from the penalty spot. A woeful display from the Spurs captain who was deservedly hooked midway through the second half.

Subsitutes
Sergio Reguilón – 5 (On for Udogie, 50′)
Played the majority of the second half at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and didn’t do too much wrong. Could do nothing about Wolves’ second goal.
James Maddison – 5 (On for Johnson, 64′)
Almost made an instant impact after coming onto the pitch but didn’t do much else during the half an hour which he played.
Timo Werner – 5 (On for Son, 64′)
Played a delightful ball to Solanke at the back post which could have wrapped up all the points had the Englishman made contact with the ball.
Pape Matar Sarr – 5 (On for Bissouma, 64′)
Worked hard in midfield but missed a big chance to score a late winner for Tottenham.
