Tottenham ‘must sack Ange Postecoglou now’ after shock news
Tottenham need to make a decision on Ange Postecoglou sooner rather than later.
Rumours have been swirling about the future of the Australian coach for months now due to Tottenham’s poor performances and the lack of results.
Spurs are currently 16th in the Premier League table and have suffered 18 defeats throughout the season, with only the three teams in the relegation zone having been beaten more.
It has been a campaign to forget for everyone involved, but Spurs may need to act on Postecoglou’s future before the end of the season to salvage what’s left of it.

Tottenham are set to part ways with Postecoglou
It was believed that Spurs winning the Europa League would be enough to salvage Postecoglou’s floundering Tottenham career, as qualifying for Europe was the goal Daniel Levy had set.
However, it has since been reported that Postecoglou is already on borrowed time, and that he will be dismissed at the end of the season regardless of what happens.
While it could be argued that keeping him on for the Europa League campaign is important, at this point, there is that much toxicity surrounding the situation that it would be beneficial for everyone involved to part ways now.
Bringing someone in on a temporary basis from the existing coaching staff or having a returning legend fill in the role might just provide enough positivity to get them over the line.
Tottenham | Games | W | D | L | GD |
Postecoglou | 70 | 31 | 10 | 30 | +23 |
Keeping someone in the job who knows they’re about to be fired also doesn’t do much for morale, with players likely downing tools while the manager himself may no longer be willing to put in the same level of effort.

Postecoglou has burned the fan relationship
Sometimes, a manager can be kept in place due to them having a positive relationship with the fan base, but that isn’t the case with Postecoglou either.
He has burned the connection he had with the Spurs supporters in recent weeks, and a lot of that has nothing to do with the on-field results.
Deciding to argue with fans post-game, cupping his ear toward them after making decisions, or refusing to go and applaud them after the final whistle at away games have all contributed to a toxic atmosphere being created.
It’s now starting to impact how Tottenham’s atmosphere, and given the fact that the team needs all the support it can get in the remaining games, that’s a problem Levy needs to address.
