Tottenham know what to do after Southampton response to Dibling bid
Tyler Dibling has been the subject of interest from Tottenham this summer.
The signings made at Tottenham so far have been solid, yet the lack of them has certainly been a cause for concern ahead of the new campaign.
Mohammed Kudus’ arrival in North London is a real shrewd addition to Thomas Frank’s side, though it is clear that there is still more work to be done in the coming weeks.
Southampton’s Dibling had been linked with a move to Tottenham, and after the Saints responded to a new transfer bid for the youngster, Spurs surely know the next steps.

How much is Dibling worth?
Towards the start of the summer, it was reported that the Saints would want up to £100million to sanction the exit of Dibling, which, to no one’s surprise, drew very little interest.
That valuation has since dropped, with it recently revealed that Everton had a £27m bid rejected by Southampton for the forward [Paul Joyce].
The Toffees are likely to approach again with a new bid, which is likely to be more than £30m, and at that price, there will be better options that Spurs could pursue.

Tottenham need players who can come in and have an immediate impact on the squad, and it is unlikely that Dibling would be capable of that.
At this stage, the best option for Spurs is to end any potential interest in the Englishman and pursue other targets who will likely be far better value for money.

Where do Tottenham need to strengthen?
Depth is going to be the biggest thing for Spurs this summer, though there are still several areas that could be boosted with new quality.
Dominic Solanke is the only out-and-out number nine at the club, making the addition of a new striker seem reasonable.
Frank will already have in his mind where he wants to see more additions, though whether they arrive or not will be a different story.
